The starting point for Farm Food was a pressed pellet made from Dutch beef that was fit for human consumption. The food was free of additives such as colorings, aromas, and antioxidants. Gerrit's goal was to create a food that was as close to what dogs would eat in the wild as possible. In 1984 Farm Food High Energy food was put on the market.
